Life Coaching
Helping people achieve holistic lifestyle changes. The basic presumption of life coaching is that clients are in a good place mentally and emotionally, and ready to receive guidance and support on how to make changes that will help them achieve their holistic goals. The work focuses on creating and maintaining motivation for change, exploring obstacles to change, and creating plans for change.

Counselling generally refers to short-term consultation.  Counseling typically deals with present issues that are easily resolved on a conscious level.  In other words, counseling is more concerned with practical or immediate issues and outcomes.  Counseling normally helps a client process powerful emotions such as grief or anger, deal with immediate causes of stress and anxiety, clarify values and identify options when making important personal or professional decisions, manage conflicts within relationships, develop better interpersonal and communication skills, or intentionally change unproductive thoughts and behaviors.


Psychotherapy, on the other hand, is an evolutionary process that helps a person look at long-standing attitudes, thoughts, and behaviors that have resulted in the current quality of one’s life and relationships.  It goes much deeper to uncover the root causes of problems, resulting in more dramatic changes in perspective regarding oneself, one’s life experience, and the world in general.  Ultimately, psychotherapy aims to empower the individual by freeing him/her from the grip of unconscious triggers or impulses through increased self-awareness

Family Counseling/Therapy

Maintaining  holistic healthy family dynamics is important to individual wellbeing.  Family’s move through seasons and at times can find themselves stuck in the “winter” season and need additional support in finding their way back to balance and harmony.  Nyaga’s holistic approach to family counseling is to provide a safe space for family’s to restore body, mind, and spirit harmony to their relationship and in return also bringing body, mind, and spirit healing to themselves.
